As peaceful as I remember. How great does it make country life look.
The movie is a long weird sigh.
What We Do in the Shadows (2019)
Still so good! I wonder about the format though, it gets a little tired after 4 or 5 episodes. Still, though. Pretty fun.
There are some really beautiful shots in this film.
So visually luxurious!
I wish I didn’t know that Bela Lugosi was reading all his parts phonetically. It’s hard to see Dracula past Bela.
That ending was so abrupt! I feel like they had to wrap it up before the tape reel ran out or something. It felt like this long, luxurious thing that just cut off at the end.
Not my fav ever, felt a little phoned in. I liked the use of artwork made by real people from around the internet. I hope they were paid! The audio effects to me felt like the instruments and techniques that they came from – not so much the monster or the thing they were trying to sound like. That’s really hard, I guess – to sound unfamiliar.
Almost stopped this one with 20 mins left, but to stop a movie is so painful in general.
